In the Waves of Tristwick by Deborah Hathaway

The beautiful sea setting captured my attention, and then served as a gorgeous backdrop to this wonderful story.  The characters were rich and vivid, and their story was one of overcoming prejudice, learning to be one's best self, and enjoying life along the way.

One of my favorite quote nuggets is, "Sometimes the risk o' fishin' in a storm be worth the rain that falls on ye, for the catch'll be all the better."
